The Wegner Wishbone Chair

This is one of my absolute favorites of the 20th century chairs.  And now they're available in color from Carl Hansen & Son

Pinball Wizard...

My final project for 2-D Design this semester--inspired by the Sesame Street pinball animations of my childhood.

Bathroom Sinks That Make Brushing More Fun

I found several today while looking for something to replace our boring and impractical pedestal sink.  In particular, I am hunting for space-conscious sinks with towel bars integrated into the design.  Here are some lovely ones.

1) by Whitehaus, available here.  Yes, it is insanely expensive and I'm toying with the idea of asking my dad (who knows metal) and my grandfather (who knows wood) to make one.

2) by Sanindusa.  So pretty,  it kind of hurts to look at it.  Wouldn't work our our space, but it is an amazing piece.  It is called the Recycled Sink because--yes!  It is made from recycled materials.  Green AND beautiful.

3) American Standard!  Sometimes you surprise me.  This little number is so clean and simple, and I can buy it for short money right at Home Depot.  Sometimes taste and budget do converge.  We might have to take a serious look at this one.

Blocked.

I've been pretty blocked up with my most recent assignment for 2D.  So it's helpful to look at some older pieces to remind myself that at one time I did create something.

These are from last August and were done for Color class.  We generated lots of portfolio pieces in that class (Thank you, Jean Jones!), so these are the first of several I will be uploading to my online portfolio.

Alternate Murphy Bed

Well, I must admit, this space-saving solution, Zoom-Room, is quite interesting.  I could see it working in a a lot of apartments where a convertible sleeper or traditional Murphy bed would not.  The mattress slides up and behind whatever shelving or entertainment is on the wall, rather than folding up and sitting in front of the wall.  It is also remote controlled...fancy...

Guess Who...

Yup, it's the Eames shell chair, my most recent Craigslist victory. I am a pretty crappy photographer, but I do like this shot of the chair. I love the intention and almost sensuousness of the seams.
