What to Do?

Uh oh. I seem to have some sort of Eames impulse control. I bought this chair on Ebay for well less than I believe it to be worth. I thought my other chair could use a sibling. Problem is, we don't actually have room for it. 90% sure I'll end up selling it. Anyone in Boston interested? $200 is probably a fair number. The back is beautiful brown fiberglass. I do not believe in the plastic Eames they sell at DWR. Not the way I roll.


Or, the space-planning gods may smile upon me and I may figure out a place to put it. Or, it shall live in the attic until my dream of selling our house and moving to Southie is realized....

Lobby Project Finishes

I'm sure when Lowes came out with their "Let's build something together" campaign, they weren't thinking about interior design students making 7 day emergency slap-dash materials boards, but nonetheless, here you have it. Rubber mulch mat, burlap, marble tile, and two shades of Min-Wax later, I am a bit of a believer. I also found a great use for the seed paper I have lying around the house that I'm never ever going to actually plant. I don't have time for actual gardening, just gardening-inspired concept boards.

Shopping in Brooklyn

Of course Boston will never compete with NYC for shopping. But it is also possible that Boston can't even compete with just Brooklyn, nay, Williamsburg alone. The neighborhood is extremely dense with retail awesome. Over the weekend I visited two great housewares stores which are next door neighbors: The Future Perfect and A&G Merch.



Both are well worth a visit. The Future Perfect focuses on beautiful objects, tableware, etc, while A&G has lovely sofas (currently on sale!), as well as a variety of smaller and relatively inexpensive housewares (glasses, dishtowels and the like).
